Langland Bay Pro AM
1 July 2016 9:12 am
Last week it was competition time as myself and 3 ROWGC members Richard Tromans, Peter Lawrence and Sally Lawrence headed over the valleys to play in a Pro AM at Langland Bay golf club in Swansea.
The weather was looking a bit grim but we avoided the rain and had some lovely sunshine as you can see from the picture.
We all played some very good golf in parts but didn’t quite take home the silverware.
In the individual Pro’s Medal I played the first nine pretty awful, however I pulled it together nicely on the back nine with a good score of 2 under par recording the best score on the back nine from all 40 pros who entered. Shame it wasn’t only the back nine score to count!
Next week I’m heading back to lovely Wales to play in the annual Welsh Professional Championship at Tenby Golf Club.
I’m very much looking forward to it as it’s a big step up and gives me the opportunity to compete against the likes of Phil Price, Stephen Dodd, Sion Bebb and Richard Dinsdale. All who have had a lot of success on the European tour.
I will keep you updated on how I get on!
